Blick auf den Riessersee mit Alpspitze und Zugspitze im Hintergrund Lake Riessersee, owned by the Buchwieser family since 1887, is a paradise where you can relax, enjoy, celebrate, or simply unwind.
A scenic treasure, it is situated in the Werdenfels region, only 3 kilometers from the Garmisch town center. Right at the lake´s edge, you´ll find the popular Café/Restaurant Riessersee , which also offers quiet rooms and apartments.


Recreational Activities:

Summer:
Swimming in the lake (from mid-May to late September, 64 to 75o F), a large lawn for sunbathing, a rowing and pedal boat rental, also open in the evening, and a raft for 4 to 10 persons, with catering.

Winter: Depending on the weather, there are up to 15 curling tracks, also available for tournaments, as well as free skating on the ice which we keep in fine condition. Catering for private functions is also possible on the ice (from approx. 20 December to approx. 20 February), Winter hiking, horse-drawn sleighs.


Café-Restaurant Riessersee mit dem Wank im Hintergrund Our small, family-run hotel (14 beds) offers fully equipped rooms and apartments where you can spend relaxing days. Even at short notice, we will do our best to put you up, so that you can enjoy our idyllic lake and peaceful scenery.

Hot meals all day (fish and game specialties, also, special menus depending on the season).

Der Kaminraum des Café-Restaurant Riessersee Our various rooms (e.g. with a bay window, for up to 30 persons, winter garden, up to 50 persons, fireplace room, up to 60 persons, function suite (70 to 180 persons) are also ideal for private functions (weddings, work outings etc.). The terrace can accommodate up to 250 persons.
We will be pleased to send you information material specially adapted to your function (reception, pre-lunch drinks, brunch, buffet, à la carte, set meals, or coffee and cake).

If you book in advance, we can serve 3-course meals at 12,00 € per person, and will reserve you a bus parking space right in front of the restaurant.bus driver or guide eat free of charge!
